Call of Duty Black Ops
Hello my name is Derek and today I am going to
be doing a game review on Black Ops. If you want to red my Modern Warfare 3 review click here. Black ops was made by Treyarch, it
is a popular game in the Call of Duty series, and it is the second game
made by Treyarch. Black Ops is from a long line of other games they
are: The first popular one is Modern Warfare 1, its a game made by
Infinityward. Then, World at War, the first game made by Treyarch. Then
Modern Warfare 2 leading to Black Ops.
Guns and attachments
Black Ops has many guns and attachments
and that's what I'll be talking about now. Black Ops has lots of
guns: assault rifles which have medium damage, range, and fire rate.
Shot guns have high damage, low range, and any fire rate. Sniper rifles
have high damage, high range, and usually a medium fire rate. Sub
machine guns have low damage, low range, and high fire rate. Light
machine guns have a high damage, high range, and low fire rate. Those
are all the guns but, guns also have attachments. In Black Ops there are
many attachments, there are bellow barrel attachments like the shotgun
and grenade launcher and there is a barrel attachment called the
suppressor which makes your shooting silenced, and you have above barrel
attachments like the scopes and the red dot sight. The red dot
sight usually has just a red dot but, you can change what the dot looks
like. There are many different red dots and theirs red dot colors. Along
with that theirs red dot tints which change the color behind the red
dot sight. That is all for Black Op's guns and attachments next we'll be
talking about Black Ops money.
Money
So, I talked about guns and attachments next I
am going to be talking about Black Op's money. Yes, Black Ops has money
or cod dollars. This is the only cod game that has money. But anyways,
to earn money you need to play a online game and get kills, every kill
you get gives you a certain amount of money. To get money you can also
gamble, when you gamble you can play a few games one is one in the
chamber. One in the chamber is a free for all where you start with
one bullet, a pistol, and a knife. If you kill someone you get a bullet
from them. This is only one of the many gambling games. But, when you
gamble you go in a game, put in a certain amount of money and you will
get a profit if you get in first, second, or third place. There are
three game modes, and in every one it costs more money to get in a game
but, you get more money for getting in first, second, or third place.
That is all about money next I'll talk about Black Op's zombie mode.
Zombie Mode
So, I talked about guns and money in Black Op's
next I'll end this review with my rating. Black Op's has a additional
game mode: Nazi Zombies. This mode starts out with a few barriers and
zombies coming to them. The barriers hold a few wooden planks which the
zombies will have to remove to attach you. You start with a knife a
pistol and up to 4 friends. At round one it takes one hit of the knife
to kill a zombie, on round 2 it takes 2 and so on. Every time you kill a
zombie or replace a barrier you get money. You can use the money to buy
items and doors. Once you opened enough doors you might find a item
called the mystery box. This item will let you exchange money for a
random weapon. After you open even more doors you will find the power
room. In this room you can turn on the power for a free cost. When the
power is on you can go into a new area. In this area there are a few new
items. One of them is a teleporter, in the teleporter you will be
transported to a room where you can upgrade your weapon and snipe
zombies. In the room there are also the bowie knife, which is a stronger
version of the knife. There is also juggernaut which upgrades how much
health you have. Turning on the power also lets you turn on turrets or
upgrade yourself. Turning on a turret will allow a mini gun to shoot and
kill all the zombies in its area, the down side is the turret's kills
give you no money. You can also upgrade yourself, there are many
upgrades, one is the self revive which will let you review yourself.
That is all on zombies next I'll tell you my rating.
Conclusion
So, I talked about Black Op's Guns, money, and
zombie mode. But, this is the end result:my rating. My rating is 7.5/10.
I rated 7.5 because Black Op's doesn't have quick and no scoping and
the campaign is not very refined. That is the end of my Black Ops game
